About the position

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving sales of the organization's full product range to both new and existing customers. This role involves assessing customer needs, proposing innovative workspace solutions, and maintaining strong customer relationships to achieve profitable account penetration. The individual will develop proposals and sales presentations, monitor progress towards sales goals, and adjust activities as necessary to meet or exceed targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and industry contacts.
  • Assess potential customers' business needs and provide relevant information.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop integrated solutions for customers.
  • Develop and deliver sales proposals and presentations.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service quality and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Make regular sales calls to existing customers and develop client networks.
  • Forecast sales and plan activities to achieve established sales targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in business-to-business sales with a proven track record.
  • Familiarity with the Windows operating environment and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to calculate mathematically, including discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Nice-to-haves

  • Furniture industry experience preferred.
