About the position

The Strategic Accounts Sales Engineer will collaborate with Accuris' Strategic Account Executives to drive growth and retention through technical expertise in AI-based software platforms. This role focuses on pre-sales support, solution design, and aligning Accuris' offerings with customer needs in engineering fields such as PLM, CAD/CAM, and Requirements Management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support by conducting discovery workshops, demo applications, and feasibility assessments based on customer data.
  • Lead technical discussions with engineering teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring proposed solutions address core engineering and business pain points.
  • Partner with Strategic Account Executives to identify potential buyers, qualify leads, and create business proposals that cater to both technical and business personas.
  • Address technical and functional queries on RFPs/RFIs and collaborate on proposal development to align with customer requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors, adjusting sales approaches to ensure competitive positioning of Accuris solutions.
  • Work with Marketing, Account Management, Customer Success, and Product teams to drive vertical-specific messaging and ensure smooth post-sales handoff.
  • Contribute to the sales process by delivering impactful product demos, proofs of concept (POCs), and proofs of value (POVs).
  • Participate in industry conferences, webinars, and write whitepapers to increase visibility and thought leadership within target verticals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in a Pre-Sales/Sales Engineering role, focusing on providing solutions to engineering organizations.
  • Expertise in PLM platforms (such as PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systèmes) and related engineering solutions like CAD/CAM (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorx) and Requirements Management Systems (e.g., IBM Rational DOORS).
  • Experience working with AI, Data Science, Digital Twins, and IoT technologies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with sales teams to drive large, complex sales cycles for deals exceeding $1M.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
