About the position

The Strategic Accounts Sales Executive for Commercial Real Estate at Johnson Controls International is a senior-level role focused on building and managing relationships with major stakeholders in the commercial real estate sector. This position is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic account plans, and ensuring customer satisfaction through a deep understanding of client needs and market trends. The role requires a proactive leader with a proven track record in business leadership and sales management, particularly in engaging with C-suite executives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and cultivate valued business partnerships with JCI's largest commercial real estate clients.
  • Develop and manage strategic account plans to increase and defend share of wallet spend.
  • Identify business models and influence product roadmaps to position JCI as a leader in the industry.
  • Advocate for the organization's strategy and support global team efforts to achieve sales goals.
  • Ensure the customer's perspective guides strategic priorities and business decisions.
  • Drive JCI to exceed customer expectations through effective forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Persuade key partners to take action aligned with shared business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strategic global relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize knowledge of market trends to drive customer success and contribute to effective strategies.
  • Influence the organization and navigate complex structures to implement customer solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, or at least 10 years of dynamic professional experience.
  • Extensive experience selling to executive levels and securing large opportunities.
  • Proven track record of closing deals in the commercial real estate sector.
  • Expertise in physical security or building automation.
  • Strong knowledge of the technology ecosystem and relationships with investor-owned companies.
  • Technical inclination to understand technology roadmaps and digital strategies.
  • Comfortable with the entire sales process and achieving revenue targets.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with fire suppression and/or detection systems, HVAC, and other commercial building solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
