About the position

As a Semiconductor Business Manager (Americas) at Emerson Test and Measurement (formerly National Instruments), you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the semiconductor Test and Measurement sector. This position is designed for a driven and ambitious individual with a technical background in semiconductors, who is passionate about developing and implementing innovative strategies to enhance our business. You will assist customers in providing test and measurement solutions for their mixed-signal products in a laboratory environment, utilizing NI instrumentation, software, and data management tools. Your domain expertise will be crucial in guiding the Sales organization to identify target markets and customers, ultimately aiming to increase revenue within the mixed-signal validation market segment. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with the Semiconductor and Electronics Business Unit, Product R&D, and Sales teams to refine strategies, target key accounts, and align go-to-market objectives to expand the serviceable addressable market (SAM). Success in this position will depend on your ability to establish and nurture relationships with subject matter experts and leadership within target accounts, as well as your capacity to lead innovative solutions that meet customer needs. Given the rapid pace of change and the disruptive nature of the industry, you will be at the forefront of developing validation tools and methods that are essential for our customers. The ideal candidate will join a team of experienced Semiconductor Business Managers at NI, focusing on new business development in critical growth areas. You will be responsible for formulating and implementing essential growth strategies aimed at expanding the mixed-signal validation business, ensuring financial gain and customer satisfaction. Your role will also involve performing market trend and competitive analysis, defining the roadmap for SAM expansion, and developing Go-To-Market strategies in collaboration with various stakeholders. Additionally, you will provide forecasts for the mixed-signal market segment, collaborate with solutions marketers and product managers to create technical content, and foster strong relationships with customers to identify both technical and business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement essential growth strategies for expanding the mixed-signal validation business focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform market trend and competitive analysis for NI products and solutions.
  • Define the roadmap for SAM expansion by documenting the market and customer needs in the mixed signal market segment.
  • Develop Go-To-Market strategies in collaboration with stakeholders and enable various sales channels.
  • Provide forecast for the mixed signal market segment by understanding the market health, industry trends, opportunity pipelines and customers' investments.
  • Collaborate with solutions marketers, product managers, and system R&D team members to create technical contents, sales enablement materials that are aligned with NI solutions and customer challenges.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and assist account managers in identifying both technical and business requirements.
  • Develop partner strategies to expand the reach of NI partners and grow NI business.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and the competitive landscape to maintain the competitive edge.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to effectively communicate strategies and information to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Background in STEM with a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in semiconductor labs as a validation, application, or product engineer.
  • Understanding of test and measurement instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Source Measure Units (SMUs), Digital Multimeters (DMMs), and others.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams effectively to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse cultures and global teams.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, including active listening, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within North America, with an expected travel time of 15% to 25%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with mixed-signal semiconductor products like Power Management ICs, Signal Chains, Sensors, and more.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, LabVIEW, C#, and similar languages.
