About the position

The Strategic Business Development Director - Northeast is responsible for developing new commercial opportunities and forming partnerships through a consultative sales approach. This role involves proactively implementing a sales strategy, building strategic relationships with key accounts, and serving as the primary point of contact for prospective customers. The position emphasizes customer relationship development, sales calls leading to contracts, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with TRIMEDX's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Define target markets and build strategic market penetration plans.
  • Utilize marketing campaigns and tradeshow contacts to develop relationships with chief officers and department heads.
  • Research market trends and critical information for the territory.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through quality interactions with management.
  • Build long-term strategic alliances with accounts to promote service offerings.
  • Negotiate and close business opportunities using a defined sales process.
  • Create opportunity qualification documentation and demonstrate sales cycle control.
  • Collaborate on solution-based proposals and deliver presentations confidently.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and resources to inspire strong customer service and teamwork.
  • Develop job knowledge through continual professional development.

Requirements

  • 10 years of business experience.
  • 5+ years of business development or account management experience.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Engineering & Medical Device management preferred.
  • Ability to develop and manage a robust pipeline and control the sales cycle.
  • Proven achievements in creating opportunities and closing significant sales.
  • Outstanding influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas to customers.
  • Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentational skills required.
  • Strong customer focus.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA preferred.
