About the position

The position serves as a quality improvement champion, focusing on promoting and implementing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles to enhance processes and patient outcomes in dialysis clinics. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to assess and improve clinical quality outcomes, ensuring compliance with CMS Conditions for Coverage and FMS quality program requirements. The individual will mentor staff, analyze data, and develop strategies to improve patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the implementation of FKC Quality programs into standard operating procedures.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for clinical quality matters.
  • Identifies clinical quality improvement opportunities to meet CMS and FMS requirements.
  • Manages execution of quality initiatives and standardized education materials with clinic teams.
  • Provides nursing and clinical guidance to support facility RNs in achieving quality outcomes.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to facilitate achievement of quality goals and patient safety improvements.
  • Mentors and trains staff to collect and analyze data for improved patient outcomes.
  • Utilizes evidence-based practices to address barriers to quality improvement.
  • Promotes the adoption of clinical pathways and policies to improve care delivery.
  • Applies knowledge of clinical and administrative policies to perform tasks effectively.
  • Utilizes quality improvement techniques to promote collaboration between facilities.
  • Mentors facilities in identifying effective practices and testing for desired results.
  • Provides guidance on quality-related clinical policies and procedures.
  • Performs desk reviews of facility QAPI documentation and attends QAPI meetings.
  • Collaborates with management staff to achieve effective interdisciplinary relationships.
  • Identifies risk areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists with root cause analysis and action plan development.
  • Provides recommendations to facility and area management.
  • Utilizes adult education principles in executing education programs.
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all customers.
  • Develops and maintains exceptional working relationships through effective communication.
  • Assists with various projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse required.
  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing or quality preferred.
  • 3+ years dialysis experience required.
  • 3+ years management experience in a clinical leadership role.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and adaptability to changes in priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and propose alternate solutions.

Nice-to-haves
