About the position

As a Strategic Communications and Events Specialist at Versar Global Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the communication strategies and event management processes associated with the civil engineering mission areas. Your primary responsibility will be to provide the ability to rapidly scale services and capabilities to respond to emerging strategic communications requirements. This includes developing civil engineers to meet critical cybersecurity mitigation training and operational requirements, as well as addressing emerging readiness and revitalization needs for civil engineer squadrons. You will also be involved in infrastructure investment strategies and responses to natural disasters, ensuring that the communication of these strategies is effective and timely. In this role, you will implement process efficiency principles to support the emerging AF/A4C workshops and events. Your efforts will be crucial in effectively communicating civil engineering campaign strategies and messaging under the oversight of AF/A4C program management. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating multi-faceted events and summits, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders throughout all phases of planning and execution. This includes establishing and executing strategic architecture and messaging plans in response to increased content regarding the USAF Revitalizing CE Squadron Campaigns, Air Force Natural Disaster Responses, and the Secretary of the Air Force's Infrastructure Investment Strategy (I2S). This position is contingent upon award, and you will primarily work a hybrid schedule at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that the communication and event strategies align with the overarching goals of the Air Force and its civil engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the ability to rapidly scale services and capabilities to respond to emerging strategic communications requirements.
  • Implement process efficiency principles in support of emerging AF/A4C workshops and events.
  • Plan, organize and facilitate multi-faceted events and summits, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with AF/A4C leadership, stakeholders, and agency partners to establish and execute strategic architecture and messaging plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and knowledge of Civil Engineering mission areas and Legislative engagement requirements.
  • Ability to effectively lead and work within teams of multi-faceted personnel.
  • Able to manage the programming, planning, execution, and facilitation of multi-faceted events.
  • DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
  • Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.

Nice-to-haves

  • Air Force experience preferred.
