As a Strategic Communications and Planning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing stakeholder communication that aligns with and supports the organization's mission, values, and objectives. Your expertise in communications will be pivotal in informing and engaging key audiences, thereby promoting the organization's reputation. In this position, you will leverage your consulting skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that support national security objectives. Your responsibilities will include developing creative solutions to complex problems, fostering relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to facilitate strategic communication, and supporting strategic planning throughout the organization. You will provide analytical support for the development of briefings, talking points, and key messages, conduct baseline assessments, design communication approaches or plans, and create products that support these strategies. Additionally, you will analyze client needs and make tailored recommendations regarding messaging, communication methods, and timing for various target audiences. This role requires a self-guided yet collaborative spirit, as you will be expected to adapt to changing priorities and adjust your writing style to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
