About the position

The Strategic Communications Lead at IT Concepts, Inc. is responsible for directing and overseeing communications strategies and programs that align with the Department of Defense (DOD) and Special Operations Command (SOCOM). This role involves creating and executing communication strategies, managing high-pressure situations, and ensuring effective dissemination of information across various platforms. The position requires a strong understanding of media relations and the ability to craft clear, persuasive communication materials while maintaining compliance with DOD messaging standards.

Responsibilities

  • Directs EDATS communications strategies and programs to align with SOCOM, SIE PMO, and Mission Partners.
  • Oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote program initiatives and capabilities across both USSOCOM and the EDATS program.
  • Conducts research and evaluates communication initiatives to assess outcomes and create process improvements for more effective communication services.
  • Develops and executes communication strategies in response to crises or sensitive issues, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information.
  • Creates and approves key communication materials, including press releases, speeches, reports, and digital content, ensuring clarity and compliance with DoD messaging standards.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in strategic communications and a MA/MS degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
  • 12 years of work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
