Strategic Communications Specialist

About the position

The Strategic Communications Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago plays a crucial role in supporting the Credit Risk Management Support Office (CRMSO) by developing and executing communication and engagement strategies. This position requires advanced skills in writing, project management, and creative content development to effectively communicate with stakeholders and enhance brand awareness across various channels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant to senior leaders on marketing, communications, and engagement strategies.
• Proactively identify new opportunities to communicate and engage with key stakeholders and external customers.
• Develop and execute content strategies across all channels in support of the CRMSO communications plan.
• Implement data-driven insights to inform the communications strategy and optimize outreach efforts.
• Build project plans, coordinate content reviews, and manage processes to meet deadlines.
• Design creative content for various media to drive brand awareness and education efforts.
• Plan and execute internal and external webinars and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
• 8-10 years of related work experience in communications or marketing.
• Experience leading digital content and corporate communications.
• Strong command of written communications and ability to synthesize complex topics.
• Experience leveraging technology and creative software for content creation.
• Strong presentation and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
