About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Deal Structurer for the Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) team. This role involves engaging with commercial and public sector customers on deal strategy, structuring, and negotiations for complex opportunities. The Deal Structurer will work closely with C-level executives and various stakeholders to drive AWS adoption and establish AWS as a key cloud technology provider across multiple industry verticals. The position requires collaboration with AWS Service teams to develop commercial business models and create actionable strategies that align with customer goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted advisor and thought leader in the development of commercial strategy and deals.
  • Partner closely with AWS Service teams to understand services and pricing, creating frameworks that impact customer outcomes.
  • Inspire and influence key internal stakeholders to remove barriers and achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Advise and construct commercial deal terms, understanding the competitive landscape and providing deal guidance.
  • Facilitate alignment and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve conflicts and encourage productive interactions.
  • Cultivate best practices through analysis and reporting in support of continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years demonstrated success working with customers on structuring substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services deals.
  • 8+ years working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives and various internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals.
  • 5+ years financial modeling experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Direct field experience or knowledge of AWS products and services, including pricing and technical knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent English required, other languages a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in building and presenting technology use cases, ideally in AWS products.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to articulate concepts to cross-functional audiences.
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape to provide deal guidance accordingly.
