About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Deal Structurer for the Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) team. This role involves engaging with commercial and public sector customers on deal strategy, structuring, and negotiations for large, complex, and competitive opportunities. The Deal Specialist will work closely with AWS customers and internal stakeholders to develop actionable strategies that drive the adoption of AWS services and establish AWS as a key cloud technology provider across various industry verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted advisor and thought leader in the development of commercial strategy and deals.
  • Partner closely with AWS Service teams to understand services and pricing, creating frameworks that impact customer outcomes.
  • Inspire and influence key internal stakeholders to remove barriers and achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Advise and construct commercial deal terms, understanding the competitive landscape and providing deal guidance.
  • Facilitate alignment and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve conflicts and encourage productive interactions.
  • Cultivate best practices through analysis and reporting in support of continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years demonstrated success working with customers on structuring substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services deals.
  • 7+ years working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives and various internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial deals.
  • 3+ years financial modeling experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Understanding of the technology ecosystem.
  • Direct field experience in working with enterprise or commercial accounts.
