The Strategic Customer Success Manager (SCSM) at Confluent is a pivotal role designed to drive customer success, retention, and expansion within our Enterprise accounts. This position is integral to ensuring that customers fully leverage the Confluent Portfolio and its product capabilities. The SCSM will engage proactively with account teams across the portfolio, ensuring that renewal activities are completed in collaboration with the sales team. This role is not just about maintaining relationships; it is about fostering growth and innovation within our customer base by identifying new use cases and managing projects to successful implementation. In this role, the SCSM will be responsible for identifying areas of account risk and escalating these issues internally to mobilize the necessary resources for resolution. The SCSM will also work closely with the sales team to explore expansion, upsell, and additional service opportunities within accounts. As an advocate for customers, the SCSM will facilitate engagement with various Confluent resources, including Customer Operations and Sales Engineering, to ensure ongoing success and satisfaction. The SCSM will guide adoption practices aimed at increasing value realization and reducing time-to-value from Confluent’s solutions. This includes driving cross-functional programs that enhance usage, satisfaction, and customer health. Regular touchpoints with existing customers will be essential, including consistent communication and Quarterly Business Reviews. The SCSM will deliver presentations to executive audiences, showcasing the value added by our products and aligning business objectives. Building and maintaining relationships with key users and decision-makers is crucial, as is acting as a trusted advisor to nurture customers into strong advocates for Confluent. The SCSM will also contribute to the continuous improvement of best practices for engagement and renewal, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention. Additionally, increasing executive engagement and facilitating invitations to key events will be part of the SCSM’s responsibilities.
