About the position

The Strategic Healthcare Partner at Johnson & Johnson will serve as the principal contact and relationship manager with key oncology system stakeholders and institutional network decision makers. The role focuses on optimizing health system readiness to enable the adoption of innovative treatments and improve patient care models. This position requires collaboration with various internal functions to address institutional needs and enhance patient access to new treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the principal point of contact between senior stakeholders, healthcare professionals, decision makers and JJIM within key regional and community care institutions to uncover, map and assess institutional needs, challenges, and gaps in patient care within oncology.
  • Collaborate with internal JJIM functions to meet the identified needs of key institutions.
  • Develop strategic and comprehensive plans for key accounts to meet mutual priorities supporting unmet patient and/or healthcare system needs.
  • Stay informed on the health system and government policies in the institutions ecosystem to understand system-level barriers and inform business plans.
  • Partner with institutional systems by removing barriers to new treatment adoption and optimize centre readiness to accelerate patient access to appropriate new treatments.
  • Facilitate connections between academic and community systems and key healthcare professionals to ensure co-created solutions can be implemented across a region.
  • Support the development of standardized processes and efficient referral pathways to support innovation and optimize capacity within a region.
  • Mobilize JJIM resources to support key accounts by bringing in appropriate resources to address access and reimbursement challenges, support implementation of innovative care models to enhance patients and provider experience where appropriate.
  • Adhere to JJIMs local and global compliance policies and procedures, and Innovative Medicines Canadas Code of Ethical Practices.

Requirements

  • University degree (life sciences or business related)
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of pharmaceutical experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in Oncology.
  • Broad understanding of JJIMs present product portfolio and future pipeline.
  • Consistent track record orchestrating cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovative projects and solutions at an account level.
  • Deep understanding of regional healthcare systems, processes, quality improvement work, governance and healthcare reform policies.
  • Collaboration mindset and motivated team player with proven cross-functional leadership in formulating strategies and solutions to overcome barriers.
  • Demonstrated experience developing & implementing short and long-term strategic business/account plans.
  • An outcomes-focused approach, with proven ability to develop appropriate targets and track progress according to established key performance indicators.
  • Critical thinker able to manage and execute complex projects in parallel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and ambiguity.
