The Finance Data Architect for the Strategic Ledger program will play a pivotal role in leading the updates to the existing Release 1 end-to-end data architecture and will be instrumental in designing the finance data architecture for future releases, regions, and lines of business. This position requires close collaboration with both the Strategic Ledger accounting lead and data leads to ensure that the architecture aligns with the latest enterprise data standards and supports planned accounting and reporting requirements. The architect will be responsible for analyzing the current architecture to identify opportunities for updates and streamlining processes to better align with current and future enterprise data standards. In this role, the architect will lead key design decisions related to finance data architecture and will participate in the enterprise design authority as a key representative for the Strategic Ledger finance team. This position often requires the development of new concepts and innovative approaches to address complex issues affecting business operations across various geographic regions or major segments. The architect must also assess risks associated with business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining the firm's reputation by applying sound ethical judgment in all business practices. The role demands a high level of accountability, as the architect will supervise the activities of others and ensure that standards are upheld throughout the organization. This position is critical in driving the strategic direction of the finance function and requires a deep understanding of banking products and systems, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
