About the position

As a Strategic Market Research Analyst at Micron, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic business decisions by maintaining market models and analyzing industry trends. This position involves collaboration with various teams to support go-to-market strategies and provide insights that influence key business actions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain MOBILE demand market model and application-specific models using both top-down and bottom-up approaches to support strategic business decisions.
  • Research and follow Mobile market new technology trends, including edge AI and market intelligence, such as supply/demand, competitors, customer product launches, ecosystem dynamics, and pricing trends.
  • Analyze key industry analyst reports and other relevant reports to assess and evaluate the competitive landscape and identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Provide business analysis to support quarterly pricing negotiations in major regions and with key customers.
  • Highlight and review key changes in the demand forecast and supporting assumptions to drive internal actions.
  • Engage with the Corporate Market Intelligence team and other business units on industry demand forecasts.
  • Support Marcomm, product marketing, and product managers in preparing go-to-market plans, Stage Gate processes, product collateral, quarterly business reviews, and competitor research.
  • Use programming and modeling for data analysis to improve business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate and BU Strategy teams to perform ad-hoc analysis for executives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in market research and analysis within the mobile technology sector.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to uncover key insights from intricate data sets.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and departments.
  • Experience in programming and data modeling to support business decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to effectively implement central initiatives and get results.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
