About the position

The Strategic Marketing Manager, Viral Vectors is responsible for planning and executing the marketing vision for the Viral Vectors Modality within the Life Science Services CDMO Business. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to develop the product offering, value proposition, positioning, and go-to-market strategy, while also supporting marketing and sales efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business initiatives, collaborating with partners to support the Modality Head in achieving marketing execution and realizing financial performance for the service portfolio.
  • Identify global market analysis needs and conduct assessments with the Strategy team to uncover growth opportunities and threats, including customer and competitor insights.
  • Monitor industry trends and propose measures to enhance competitiveness and drive business expansion, including investment projects.
  • Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy aligned with business objectives, collaborating with MarCom and Commercial teams to create effective campaigns and content.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns across channels, establish relevant KPIs, evaluate performance, and implement tactical improvements.
  • Collaborate with MarCom, Field Marketing, and technical teams to produce impactful marketing materials and thought leadership content that boosts awareness and generates leads.
  • Advise on customer selection and pricing strategies to guide commercial efforts for the service portfolio.
  • Co-drive innovation with R D and PAD teams, supporting business cases and aligning on an innovation roadmap.
  • Partner with PAD and manufacturing sites to implement innovations, gather customer feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key opinion leaders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategic marketing, preferably in the life sciences or biotechnology sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market assessments and identify growth opportunities.
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to monitor industry trends and propose actionable strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with viral vectors and biologics marketing.
  • Familiarity with CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) services.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and customer selection processes.
