About the position

As the Segment Marketing Manager for TA Instruments, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the strategic growth plan across the global organization, focusing on the Advanced Materials and Chemicals (AMC) end-market segment. This role involves collaboration with various teams to advance new product development and commercialization activities, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate the strategic growth plan in the Adv. Materials & Chemicals segment based on market knowledge and trends.
  • Lead Voice-of-Customer (VOC) interviews and synthesize insights for research and marketing campaigns.
  • Perform macro market assessments to quantify market size and growth rates.
  • Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to establish scientific thought leadership.
  • Identify potential commercial relationships to support revenue growth strategy.
  • Prioritize customer needs to initiate research and development projects.
  • Assess market opportunities for new product development based on trends and VOC.
  • Support Research and Product Management teams in validating market opportunities.
  • Develop the marketing campaign strategy in partnership with the Marketing team.
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional Applications teams to develop marketing collateral.
  • Support commercialization of new product releases and marketing campaigns.
  • Assist Sales teams in business planning and customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS in Technology or Business field.
  • MBA, Ph.D. or other advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering / Materials Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Adv. Materials & Chemicals environment.
  • Prior experience with thermal analysis, rheology, or related analytical equipment is desirable.
  • Strategy development experience in the Adv. Materials & Chemicals industry or related fields.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to influence at the executive level and within peer groups.
  • Effective interpersonal, collaboration & networking skills.
  • Change management advocate.
