About the position

The Strategic National Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the Cabinetworks Group by working closely with various teams including Sales Management, Account Managers, Customer Service, and Field Operations. This position is primarily focused on identifying and selecting new business opportunities within the multifamily and commercial sectors. The National Account Manager is responsible for initiating customer contact, conducting independent and joint sales calls, and managing key negotiations to secure new business. In this role, the Strategic National Sales Manager will interact with technical, product development, and manufacturing/logistic operations to assess Cabinetworks Group's capability to meet market needs through innovative product and service solutions. The position requires a thorough understanding of multifamily business sales trends and history, enabling the manager to make informed recommendations for increasing sales and market share while minimizing channel conflict between Direct and Distribution teams. The responsibilities also include cultivating and maintaining strong business relationships with developers, architects, designers, and general contractors to support departmental goals. The manager will review the sales pipeline to identify new customers and sales opportunities, developing structured sales activities and governance processes to ensure effective execution of sales plans. Collaboration with the management team is essential to identify new product and service opportunities, while remaining informed about competitive activities and market dynamics. The role requires regular reporting to the VP of Sales - Multifamily to monitor progress and address any obstacles. All sales opportunities will be documented in Sales Force, and the manager may also be tasked with special assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze and monitor Multifamily business sales trends and sales history, making recommendations for increased sales.
  • Facilitate discussions between Direct and Distribution teams to enhance Multifamily revenue and market share while avoiding channel conflict.
  • Cultivate and maintain business relationships with developers, architects, designers, and general contractors.
  • Review the sales pipeline to target new customers and sales opportunities, initiating action plans and strategies to secure new business.
  • Develop structured sales activities and governance processes to ensure execution of sales plans.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify new product and service opportunities.
  • Stay informed about competitive activities, products, and market positioning.
  • Conduct thorough market and industry analyses and prepare comprehensive sales plans for new and existing customers.
  • Act as a liaison between Cabinetworks Group and customers to enhance working relationships and ensure customer needs are met.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to monitor progress and obstacles for the VP of Sales - Multifamily.
  • Document all opportunities in Sales Force and perform special assignments as delegated.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or related field.
  • 2 years of sales management experience.
  • 5 years of outside sales and project management experience in the multifamily and commercial industry.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task various responsibilities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
