About the position

The Strategic Partner Channel Manager at Arrow Electronics is responsible for driving sales of VMware products through the distribution channel. This role focuses on developing new business, managing customer relationships, and ensuring effective communication between Arrow's internal resources and customers. The manager will engage with partners to grow sales, identify customer needs, and provide tailored solutions, all while maintaining a proactive approach to customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day sales support and customer service activities for assigned accounts, territory, and product(s).
  • Focus on growing and developing new business by proactively calling and engaging partners.
  • Rebuild underpenetrated and neglected relationships with Arrow customers.
  • Provide product information and follow-up on quotes to close business for Arrow.
  • Identify, enable, and develop high-potential and non-repeat partners.
  • Understand customers' requirements for Arrow product offerings and services.
  • Translate products and promotions into benefits for customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between Arrow's internal resources and customers.
  • Drive sales growth through new customer rebuilding and relationship management.
  • Generate leads and follow-up on leads obtained through suppliers and Arrow internal sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience selling VMware products to channel partners is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience selling IT products through the distribution channel.
  • Enterprise level IT and Services sales success focused on Margin.
  • Strong Consultative level Services Sales experience.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective.
  • Strong proficiency in SF.com and forecasting accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and proven track record in a KPI based Sales Model.
  • Field Sales experience and Partner Recruitment experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
