About the position

The position is responsible for overseeing the Government Pricing Center of Excellence at BD, ensuring compliance with pricing standards and federal agreements. The role involves coordinating with various business units, tracking pricing activities, and developing pricing strategies while maintaining governance over pricing agreements in ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and govern activities of the Government Pricing Center of Excellence with pricing analysts from various Business Units.
• Establish efficient processes for handling Government pricing aligned with commercial operations practices.
• Regularly assess pricing for the base business throughout BDX and deliver monthly reports to leadership.
• Verify compliance with Federal agreements and ceiling and floor pricing standards across BDX.
• Collaborate with internal teams to manage quotes, orders, and pricing, entering prices in ERP systems.
• Ensure distributor chargebacks and sales tracings align with pricing policies.
• Provide quotes using established government pricing and collaborate with Business Units for prices on non-awarded items.
• Implement governance for ERP system government pricing agreements to ensure standardization and alignment of contract pricing.
• Support Commercial Sales Practice and Fee Payment contract activities.
• Track customer pricing activities, including compliance requirements and customer identification.
• Identify opportunities for contract price adjustments within BDX and coordinate actions.
• Examine terms and conditions for adherence to reporting objectives in Government contracts.
• Work with GCOG leadership to develop pricing strategies and assess associated risks.
• Act as the main communicator on pricing issues to the Business Units.
• Maintain GCOG Pricing SharePoint Site and national contract pricing files.
• Process and maintain pricing agreements across BDX ERP systems, including new contract awards and agreement governance.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls related to pricing agreements and contract award processes.
• Coordinate government membership impacting eligible contracts and ERP system pricing agreements.
• Collaborate with internal partners on data requirements for pricing modifications and monitor status until approved.
• Coordinate with the Federal Contracting Team on competitive bid/RFPs, focusing on pricing strategy and compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field required with 5 years of strategic pricing experience, or without a Bachelor degree, 10+ years extensive experience in the applicable area preferred.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, capable of converting data into practical insights.
• Proven track record of presenting data to end users through various tools, including PowerPoint, Power BI, Salesforce, SharePoint, and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of the contract lifecycle to ensure pricing compliance via policy creation.
• Ability to build credibility, trust, and support across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create, present, and justify ideas and strategies to internal leaders and stakeholders.
