About the position
The Strategic Pricing Analyst at Sprouts Farmers Market plays a crucial role in supporting the merchandising team by executing pricing strategies that enhance profitability and drive share growth. This position involves collaborating with various departments to analyze data and make informed pricing decisions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and operational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Provide pricing recommendations based on competitive intelligence and optimization details.
- Investigate quantitative and qualitative impacts of pricing strategies to improve future events, including retail adjustments and promotions.
- Review current pricing strategies and recommend optimizations for profitability while delivering customer value.
- Collaborate with the Pricing Management Team to align priorities with organizational strategies and objectives.
- Ensure price changes comply with internal policies and procedures.
- Foster partnerships with the operations group.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or Business; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Retail experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced business reporting and ability to draw conclusions from disparate data.
- Experience with BI/Data Warehousing Tool (MicroStrategy/Cognos or related tool).
- Advanced proficiency in Access, Excel, and related Microsoft software applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and decision-making skills.
