About the position
The Strategic Priorities Lead for SMGS Ops at AWS is responsible for creating business insights and developing strategies to support the growth of the World Wide Public Sector Org sales organization. This role involves analyzing various business areas, making recommendations to senior leadership, and tracking implementation progress. The position emphasizes collaboration across teams and effective communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between Sales, Operations, and Planning teams to identify focus areas, progress long-term strategies, and drive action plans
- Own deliverables for leadership reviews, annual planning, and regular performance updates (WBR, MBR, forecast calls, etc.)
- Establish timelines, project plans, and expectations across various stakeholders
- Automate and streamline reporting and performance updates through regular cadence of communications and/or interlocks with business and goal owners
- Communicate in written and verbal form to senior leadership and also technical counterparts
- Lead analytical projects focused on deep insights that enable goal and performance management decisions
- Capture and structure data to meet reporting needs across the entire organization
- Be the 'source of truth' for each team's performance and progress tracking
Requirements
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
