About the position

The Strategic Research Lead at Fuel Cycle is responsible for acting as the primary point of contact for market research clients, providing strategic research consultation, and ensuring operational excellence. This role involves transforming business questions into actionable research plans, analyzing data to deliver insights, and managing client relationships to foster satisfaction and retention. The position requires a blend of market research expertise, project management skills, and strong communication abilities to support clients in making data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic research advisor and subject matter expert for clients.
  • Transform business questions into strategic research plans that produce actionable insights.
  • Analyze data and craft narratives that address market objectives and business goals.
  • Own the account relationship and serve as the primary market research contact for assigned clients.
  • Foster strong research relationships with clients and cultivate them into advocates for Fuel Cycle.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality market insights and managing expectations.
  • Develop market research project proposals and oversee project outcomes.
  • Execute tasks with attention to detail to produce exceptional market research deliverables.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and reporting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of custom market research experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of client-facing research consultation experience.
  • Proficiency in market research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients with $500k - $1.5M of research volume.
  • Familiarity with market research software tools such as SPSS, SAS, Qualtrics, SurveyGizmo, SurveyMonkey, R, and Tableau.
