About the position

The Strategic Revenue Growth Management (SRGM) Analytics Engineer role is a critical position within the Commercial Information Services (IS) team, specifically supporting the client's SRGM Trade Strategy team. This 6-month remote position focuses on the remediation and rebuilding of the client's Post Event Analysis (PEA) Tool, known as "Skyline." Since its inception in 2018, the Skyline tool has been essential for analyzing Trade Events, but recent data and platform migrations have rendered it less effective. The primary goal of this role is to restore the functionality of this tool, enabling the client to analyze the impact of trade events and plan future strategies effectively. In this cross-functional role, the selected candidate will collaborate closely with the SRGM team and various IS teams to assess the existing capabilities of the Skyline tool, identify necessary changes, and implement enhancements that align with business needs. This includes documenting the updated solution and planning for future improvements. The role requires a strong understanding of analytics tools and languages, as well as the ability to engage with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements. The Analytics Engineer will work alongside business partners, technical engineers, data architects, and project managers to design, develop, and enhance data analytics and reporting solutions. Responsibilities include architecting, implementing, and optimizing complex data systems and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale data projects and will be expected to contribute to the SRGM segment while also collaborating with other commercial functions such as Sales, Retail, Category Management, Consumer Insights, Planning, Marketing, and Digital. A solid understanding of Trade strategies is essential, as the candidate will work closely with leaders and product owners to create an integrated data landscape that connects various functions.

Responsibilities

  • Review existing capability (combination of Snowflake SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau)
  • Discuss current and future state with business to determine requirements
  • Build remediation / enhancement plan
  • Partner with the client's Business & IS to execute plan
  • Conduct testing with stakeholders
  • Document updated capability

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in data analytics and engineering
  • Familiarity with data analytics & visualization tools (Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, & Snowflake mandatory, PowerBI optional)
  • Experience with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) data & capabilities, preferably within CPG
  • Ability to operate independently on cross-functional projects across IS and Business partners

  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
