About the position

The Pelvic Health Strategic Sales Director at Medtronic is responsible for increasing patient access to InterStim products across key customer segments, including LUGPA practices, National IDNs, Academic Centers, and large GI practices. This role involves promoting and selling Medtronic's Pelvic Health products, developing long-term relationships with stakeholders, leading new product launches, and collaborating with various departments to address business opportunities. The position is remote and requires significant travel within the US.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Medtronic's Pelvic Health products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders including surgeons and executives across strategic customer groups.
  • Take a lead role in new product launches across the base of strategic customers.
  • Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize benefits from Medtronic's Pelvic Health products and/or services.
  • Promote education of the company's products and/or services.
  • Conduct and/or evaluate market research including customers and competitors' activities.
  • Develop and/or implement market development plans/strategies and make changes as needed.
  • Assess customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicate to internal stakeholders.
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborate with other departments (Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales Training, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience; or Advanced Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant sales and leadership experience.
  • Track record of success in medical sales.
  • Experience with Pelvic Health treatment therapies.
  • Involvement in a start-up company or new market technology.
  • Experience with products or procedures that 'disrupt' the marketplace.
  • Operating Room / Surgical Suite experience.
  • Experience with implantable medical devices.
  • Solid understanding of managed care & reimbursement.
  • Experience in developing new, innovative markets.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to navigate sales data and market reports.
