About the position

The Strategic Sales Initiatives Leader within AWS Professional Services is responsible for driving large, complex sales initiatives by providing sales and program management expertise. This role involves coordinating efforts across various teams to enhance customer experience and drive business growth. The leader will leverage their skills to innovate and adapt strategies on a global scale, ensuring customer advocacy and effective problem-solving in collaboration with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Professional Services efforts with go-to-market teams and AWS services to drive strategic sales initiatives.
  • Provide sales and program management expertise to enhance customer experience.
  • Lead cross-team collaboration to shape initiatives that support AWS business growth.
  • Deliver impactful results through effective project management and executive presentations.
  • Advocate for customer needs and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in a strategic sales, business development, or similar role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise with sales force effectiveness methodologies and advanced sales technologies.
  • Certification in a recognized sales methodology (e.g., Challenger, Solution Selling, SPIN).
  • Multilingual capabilities relevant to key markets.
  • Proven track record in change management and mentoring sales talent.
