About the position
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst position at LGES - HONDA Joint Venture involves representing the company in sourcing activities, developing and documenting sourcing strategies, and evaluating supplier performance. The role is crucial in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the procurement process aligns with industry trends and company goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing sourcing processes and work to implement efficiencies.
- Resolve day-to-day issues and promote operational consistency.
- Interact with all stakeholders internally as well as externally for everyday sourcing operations.
- Evaluate procurement metrics by measuring supplier performance and internal performance.
- Identify project scopes, schedules, and costs collaborating with procurement buyers.
- Evaluate sourcing landscape and work with buyers to strategize and document sourcing strategies.
- Project industry trends to implement appropriate responses and contingency measures.
- Report on competitive intelligence, as well as market and consumer trends.
- Source suppliers/vendors from existing supplier base, while also seeking and qualifying potential new suppliers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in general business, business administration, supply chain, logistics, or relevant experience.
- 0 to 3+ years of experience in a related field.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
