About the position

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst at UCI Health is responsible for managing sourcing activities related to products for the healthcare system. This role involves collaborating with various departments to develop strategies that enhance supplier relationships and optimize procurement processes, ultimately aiming to achieve cost savings and improve clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for best-in-class strategic sourcing practices and supplier relationships.
• Identify projects to leverage annual purchase volume and rationalize the supplier base for cost savings.
• Partner with internal clients to identify sourcing needs and conduct market profiles.
• Share marketplace trends and develop sourcing strategies with stakeholders.
• Define acceptable service levels and share best practices.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in a hospital or large healthcare system or equivalent purchasing experience.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform complex analytical tasks independently.
• Full knowledge of procurement and sourcing functions.
• Experience in supply chain management with a strong background in finance analytics.
• Proficiency in MMIS applications and e-commerce platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
