About the position

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst at Children's Mercy is responsible for developing sourcing strategies and managing contracts for significant non-labor expenditures ranging from $25 million to $40 million annually. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, providing strategic decision support, and ensuring supplier performance. The analyst will utilize data-driven sourcing initiatives and market analysis to negotiate favorable terms and enhance operational efficiencies, ultimately contributing to clinical improvements and cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies and manage contracts for non-labor spend.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements for cost, service, and quality.
• Prepare for and manage contract renewals.
• Evaluate supplier relationships for cost, quality, and serviceability.
• Analyze spend data to identify new opportunities for sourcing.
• Assist Supply Chain Value Analysis staff with financial evaluations of opportunities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with business partners for ongoing feedback.

Requirements

• Master's Degree preferred with 1-2 years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement or contract processing, or
• Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement or contract processing, or
• High School diploma with 7 or more years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement or contract processing.
