About the position
The Director of Strategic Sourcing will lead sourcing initiatives within a rapidly growing hospitality company, focusing on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery through strategic sourcing methodologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in category management and data analytics, capable of managing complex projects and supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex sourcing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Utilize deep sourcing methodologies to identify and engage with potential suppliers.
- Analyze complex data sets to inform sourcing decisions and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve the best terms for the organization.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses to leadership team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing
- Experience managing direct reports
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle ambiguous and complex projects
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in using sourcing and procurement software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
