About the position
The Strategic Sourcing/Procurement Director at Versatex is responsible for overseeing the strategic sourcing of services to enhance investment efficiency and ensure accountability in service delivery. This role involves identifying operational improvement opportunities, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing internal sourcing processes to align with corporate objectives. The director will also engage with stakeholders to drive performance improvements and cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability in supplier services.
Responsibilities
- Drive total ownership improvements including supplier performance and develop the supply base, while delivering results for stakeholders in line with the organization's Business Plan.
- Conduct market analysis, develop RFx, plan negotiations, perform competitive price and cost analysis, and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
- Optimize internal sourcing processes, workflows, and interfaces to reduce delivery time and costs in support of corporate objectives and industry best practices.
- Discuss performance frequently with clients and identify opportunities for cost savings without sacrificing quality, service, and reliability.
- Manage and monitor compliance with established supplier agreements.
- Partner with leadership teams to establish company-wide procurement systems, tools, processes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related area; relevant experience may substitute for degree; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in Sourcing or Commodity Management, including Construction Services.
- Solid understanding of Strategic Sourcing process steps and proficient knowledge of assigned commodities.
- Competent in research, financial analysis, variance reporting, and bid evaluation.
- Proven negotiation and supplier management skills with strong analytical capabilities.
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and/or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) is a plus.
- Experience in sourcing strategy development and implementation.
