About the position

The Strategic Supply Chain Business Analyst at Gordon Food Service is responsible for driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing supply chain performance. This role involves hands-on development and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, automated solutions, and dynamic dashboards that enhance operational efficiency. The analyst will support predictive analytics initiatives, conduct data mining, and perform statistical analysis to inform long-term strategies, ensuring seamless integration of data analytics across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data mining and perform in-depth data analysis to interpret and extract actionable insights.
• Create clear and compelling visualizations (dashboards, reports) to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources to drive insights into business.
• Develop and automate reporting processes to streamline data delivery and reduce manual effort.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
• Apply data analysis to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
• Utilize statistical methods to analyze data, test hypotheses, and build predictive models.
• Identify and resolve data-related issues, and propose innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Drive data-driven initiatives to improve business processes and achieve key performance indicators.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Analytics preferred.
• Proficiency in BigQuery, Excel, Google Sheets, Google Cloud platforms, Looker Studio, and SQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to lead large and small initiatives on time to define new processes and resolve business problems.
• Self-directed and motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage workload fluctuations.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Experience in project management and change management.
