About the position

The Strategic Vendor Management Analyst at 7-Eleven, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the development and evolution of the Merchandise's strategic initiatives. This position focuses on optimizing brand assortments, analyzing vendor performance, and synthesizing data insights to drive actionable recommendations that align with the company's strategic goals. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance vendor relationships and contribute to the overall success of the merchandising strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and evolution of Merchandise's multi-year strategic chessboard to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop in-depth analysis and synthesize data insights into actionable guiding principles and negotiation levers that will drive bottom-line results.
  • Work alongside cross-functional business partners to build a holistic evaluation of vendors.
  • Regularly engage and build strong relationships with the Merchant team to reinforce Merchandise initiatives and provide proactive insights.
  • Develop and synthesize Merchandise and vendor scorecards, tracking and interpreting performance while drawing insights that lead to actionable merchandise recommendations.
  • Prepare materials for management decks to support communication of merchandise strategies throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools (Power BI, Circana, Datalake, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in vendor management or strategic sourcing.
  • Familiarity with retail merchandising strategies.
  • Experience in customer service within a merchandising context.
