About the position

The Strategy Analyst, Market Intel at UCI Health plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's strategic initiatives through data analysis and intelligence. This position involves leading data analytic functions to assist various departments, focusing on data sourcing, management, and application to inform strategic decision-making. The analyst will leverage both internal and external data to assess healthcare market trends and service line opportunities, contributing to the overall success of UCI Health.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct data analytic functions to support Strategy and Performance Management teams.
• Define, develop, and implement work related to data sourcing, availability, usage, maintenance, and application.
• Promote the quality of data across the team.
• Support projects including data management, data modeling, visualization, and dashboard development.
• Leverage internal and external data sources to assess healthcare industry and market trends, service line trends, forecasts, and demographics.
• Address complex healthcare business questions and support strategic decision-making throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information and develop effective solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Access, PowerPoint) and statistical data analysis software.
• In-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards, and best practices.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, or ggplot2.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience and training.
• 5 years of experience in healthcare strategy, planning, consulting, business development, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in mapping software, such as ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of healthcare market, government rules, and regulations.
