About the position

The Strategy and Operations Manager - Planning Lead for Cloud Marketing at Google is responsible for driving the implementation and delivery of the annual planning process. This role involves managing planning and operational processes, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and advocating for high-priority projects to enhance operational excellence within Marketing. The position requires a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving and effective communication skills to engage with Google leadership and establish Marketing's strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop program timelines, project plans, and manage deliverables to ensure successful management and execution of the annual planning process.
  • Identify business gaps and opportunities, and propose action plans to successfully execute.
  • Work closely with SO leads, marketers, Finance, operational teams, and senior leadership to drive a successful planning process.
  • Provide weekly updates on project status and opportunities, and contribute to executive-level presentations.
  • Develop best practices and approaches to improve the Annual planning process for Google Cloud Marketing.
  • Build and influence cross-organizational collaborations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify broad problems and translate them into tactical projects and work steps for teams.
  • Set objectives, key results, and future direction that will impact multiple teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience leading the end-to-end annual planning process.
