About the position

The Strategy & Business Operations Manager at Udemy plays a crucial role in shaping the company's future by partnering with leaders across the organization to drive strategic initiatives and improve business operations. This position involves working cross-functionally to accelerate growth and tackle mission-critical projects that align with Udemy's long-term goals. The role requires a deep understanding of the business landscape and the ability to analyze data to inform strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Udemy's business and competitive landscape
• Identify, evaluate, and drive strategic initiatives that align with our goals and strategy, with an eye toward long-term value creation
• Dive into business performance and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement and work with cross-functional partners to implement solutions
• Develop robust strategic recommendations based on data analysis, competitive analysis, market trends, and customer needs
• Leverage qualitative & quantitative insights to drive strategic decision-making with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build capability to monitor progress against corporate strategy & roadmap
• Continuously evaluate new market trends and competitive threats to identify opportunities and risks

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of work experience in management consulting or 6+ years of work experience in business operations, corporate strategy, and/or business analytics
• Self-starter who can learn on the fly, manage through ambiguity, and handle multiple priorities
• Strong business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to look at an issue from multiple angles and think broadly about the big picture
• Experience with data analysis and developing data-driven solutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to form effective relationships across all functions and at all levels throughout the organization
• Demonstrated ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks, develop concrete action plans, and motivate cross-functional partners to execute against them
• Demonstrated ability to successfully implement new & redesign existing processes at scale
