The Strategy Department Internship at Mayo Clinic is a paid, 3-month learning experience tailored for first-year graduate students interested in healthcare strategy and consulting. This internship provides valuable insights and practical experience in healthcare strategy, allowing interns to contribute to strategy and business consulting services across various levels of the organization. Interns will work independently on projects, applying intelligence and consulting methods to develop innovative solutions that address both current and future customer needs.

  • Provide strategy and business consulting services at various levels of Mayo Clinic's organization.
  • Apply intelligence, consulting, and other methods to aid with strategy and design, applied analytics, or business and digital transformation.
  • Consider long-term strategic, business, and technical needs of clients to provide innovative solutions and recommendations.
  • Work independently on projects, including subcomponents of larger scale projects as directed by a Strategy Manager.
  • Leverage lessons learned to create best and next practice models, tools, frameworks, and methods for sustained transformational capabilities.
  • Completion of first year of master's program in management, healthcare administration, operations, analytics, or health-related fields (applicants from other fields are considered).
  • Preferred experience in strategy, consulting, finance, digital technology enablement, applied analytics, and leadership.
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
