The professional will work within the highly strategic function of the Planning & Analytics team for Global Integrated Marketing (GIM). This role involves identifying and evaluating strategic business opportunities, including new initiatives and partnerships. The individual will support cross-functional teams across AWS marketing to assess these opportunities and build a fact basis for decision-making. The position requires building the structure and approach to ambiguous and complex analytical problems, translating analysis into actionable insights and recommendations for the business. Additionally, the professional will develop business requirements to assess the impact of AWS marketing across channels and its effectiveness in creating a favorable selling environment and driving business growth. Evaluating new marketing opportunities will involve modeling performance reflecting plausible scenarios or illustrating the limits of tolerable risks. The role also includes recommending strategies and tactics to streamline current business operations processes for operational efficiency. Collaboration is key, as the individual will partner with other analytics teams and finance to continually improve measurement methodologies, synthesizing multiple points of view in a simple, clear manner. Presenting findings and recommendations to the senior leadership team is a critical aspect of this role. The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector. The GIM Planning and Analytics team works directly with GIM leadership to drive strategic initiatives and shape the overall long-range marketing strategy for the business.
