About the position

Etsy is seeking a Strategy & Operations Coordinator to enhance operational excellence across three key functions within the Marketing and Operations (COMO) organization: Growth Marketing, Product & Retention Marketing, and Brand Marketing & Communications. This full-time position is designed to support critical business and organizational operations, enabling the Marketing teams to function efficiently and achieve their strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong familiarity with marketing functions, be highly motivated, analytical, process-oriented, and an excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Strategy and Operations Manager, COMO. Your responsibilities will include designing processes, tools, and operating cadences to achieve organizational outcomes for the various marketing teams. You will also support the Marketing Leadership team by integrating company-level business processes such as annual and quarterly business planning (AOP and OKRs) and quarterly business reviews (CEO review) by coordinating content and managing deadlines. Additionally, you will create, maintain, and implement operating rhythms for Marketing Leaders, ensuring that all communications are clear and transparent. Your day-to-day tasks will involve scheduling and attending Marketing Leadership meetings, taking notes, and being a proactive thought partner. You will provide calendaring support for the three Marketing Leaders and facilitate information sharing to ensure that all team members are aligned with the functions' strategies and progress. You will also maintain communication channels, support team gatherings, and manage ad-hoc program management tasks to establish new processes or programs as needed. This role is dynamic and may evolve over time, requiring flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Design processes, tools, and operating cadences to achieve organizational outcomes for the Growth Marketing, Product & Retention Marketing, and Brand Marketing & Communication teams.
  • Support the Marketing Leadership team by coordinating content and managing deadlines for company-level business processes such as annual and quarterly business planning (AOP and OKRs) and quarterly business reviews (CEO review).
  • Create, maintain, and implement operating rhythms for Marketing Leaders.
  • Schedule, attend, and take notes at Marketing Leadership meetings, acting as a thought partner and ensuring follow-ups are completed.
  • Provide calendaring support for the three Marketing Leaders.
  • Facilitate information sharing from Marketing Leaders to their teams to ensure transparency and clarity on each function's strategy and progress.
  • Maintain all communication channels, including Google distribution lists and Slack channel lists, with updates on new joiners, exits, and changes.
  • Support team gatherings in partnership with the COMO Executive Assistant and the Internal Gathering team.
  • Manage ad-hoc program management tasks to establish new processes or programs.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience developing processes and tools to enable smooth operations.
  • Familiarity with the marketing function or direct experience in a marketing team.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to define, organize, and operationalize a plan to tackle nebulous challenges.
  • Ability to maintain order, focus, and calm in times of ambiguity and changing priorities.
