About the position

The Strategy & Transformation Team Lead at Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) is responsible for facilitating and supporting business transformation initiatives. This role involves analyzing processes, developing improvements, planning events, training staff, and managing projects to drive positive change across the organization. The incumbent will act as a change agent, providing coaching and mentorship to stakeholders and teams, and utilizing strategic thinking and various methodologies to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Create, lead and implement change initiatives related to business processes and technologies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key management, teammates, and stakeholders.
  • Promote the adoption of changes within the organization using various management methodologies.
  • Develop project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment and communications.
  • Lead/facilitate meetings with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide business transformation support utilizing Lean Continuous Improvement and Agile methodologies.
  • Coach teams on proper methodology application and tool use.
  • Work with Value Stream Owners to assess customer requirements and performance measures.
  • Lead the identification of Jobs to be Done and ensure targeted changes meet customer requirements.
  • Participate in identifying key emerging trends and develop innovative solutions.
  • Pilot or prototype potential innovations and support internal and external surveying efforts.
  • Identify, plan, and execute key initiatives to commercialize innovative solutions.
  • Lead/facilitate meetings to ensure successful execution of the District's Strategic Plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree plus 4 years, or High School diploma/GED plus 6 years of experience.
  • Experience in electric, natural gas, or related industry operations and management.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement program implementation and support.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lean Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Agile Scrum Master certification or equivalent within one year of hire.
