About the position

As the Stream Aligned Team (SAT) Product Owner for Care Coordination and LTSS (CCL), you will be responsible to lead the design, development and delivery of clinically focused products and experiences. You will use your operational experience and strategic planning expertise to guide initiatives to maximize the business value delivered and manage your assigned projects. You will partner with business stakeholders, developers, and consumers to refine the project vision and translate the vision into enhancement requests, prioritizing those into a backlog based on business value and budgetary constraints for solution design and development. Based on the backlog, you will lead the research, design, prototyping, development, testing and release schedule in coordination within UCare's ecosystem. Ensure solutions are pragmatic and intuitive and include analytics to advance the management and strategy. In addition, you will be responsible to maintain a multi-year roadmap through regular roadmap planning sessions where releases and features for projects, products and solutions are expressed in terms of business value. Lead functional areas and department leads to develop detailed requirements, design, and test solutions. Ensure non-functional requirements have been identified and are accounted for in the product backlog and/or enhancement request appropriately. Collaborate with business units, IT and external parties. You will drive resolution of defects and promote system enhancements. Evaluate system changes and help drive decisions, communicate to stakeholders the impacts of changes, and serve as the Business Owner for the projects until they are ready to move to a run-state.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in reviewing prioritized work requests and develop detailed business/technical requirements and design options.
  • Quantify and prioritize potential and new work requests based upon expected business impact and create various scope options dependent on priorities, level of effort, cost/benefit expectations, etc.
  • Translate the project vision into specific features and implement long-term planning through regular road mapping of releases, features, and benefits to be realized from each release.
  • Create change stories for projects or initiatives to link them to the organization's vision, goals, and values.
  • Perform stakeholder analysis to ensure comprehensive inclusion of key stakeholders and to ensure their needs are understood and documented including functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop use cases as a key communication tool between the business and technical teams.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure stakeholders and those impacted by the project(s) and/or initiative(s) move from being unaware to fully committed.
  • Work directly with department team leaders to develop deep understandings of business needs, current capabilities, and desired future state to prioritize the most impactful enhancements and fixes, and to incorporate into feature designs and reporting tools. Test solutions with impacted departments.
  • Serve as an expert for assigned projects and champion when collaborating with stakeholders and delivery partners.
