About the position

The Street Team Member position at Texas Care is a part-time role focused on community engagement and outreach for mental health and substance abuse counseling services. The member will connect with individuals in various neighborhoods, particularly in low-income areas, to promote access to mental health services. This role requires a flexible schedule, including daytime and some evening hours, and is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy working with the public.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the public to promote Texas Care's mental health and substance abuse counseling services.
• Visit various neighborhoods, including low-income areas, to build relationships and acquire clients.
• Work as part of a team to develop and execute community outreach strategies.
• Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Support marketing and social events to enhance community engagement.
• Report progress and provide feedback to the team leader.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extroverted personality with a comfort in engaging with the public.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Motivated, energetic, and a self-starter.
• Flexible schedule with availability during both daytime and some evening hours.
• Must reside within one hour of Beaumont.
• Experience in outreach or customer service.

Nice-to-haves

• Marketing strategy skills, particularly experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
• Experience with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Spark, or other flyer and brochure creation tools.
