About the position
Mini's House of Pain (MHOP) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to join their high-performing team in El Dorado Hills, CA. The role focuses on empowering gym members to achieve their fitness goals through effective coaching and leadership in group workouts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to personal health and fitness.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach group workouts
- Provide proper demonstration, explanation, and cueing of all prescribed movements, exercises, and routines throughout workouts
- Provide motivating, safe, and appropriate modification for members during workouts
- Provide excellent customer service for all members and potential members
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule (Early mornings and/or evenings, with occasional weekend hours)
- Occasional offsite training and community outreach
- Attend all team trainings and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Certified through NSCA, USAW, NASM, ACE or Equivalent
- CPR/First Aid Certified (within 30 days of employment)
- 1-3 years practical experience in the fitness industry
- Ability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating (both verbally and in writing)
- Efficient, well-organized, and able to accomplish tasks completely and accurately
- Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic
- A dedication to maintaining and growing personal integrity and your own health and fitness
- Proficient with a computer, word and data processing
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
- 3+ years coaching experience (private, college, or professional levels)
- Ability to commute/relocate
