The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Lander University will play a crucial role in the Department of Athletics by assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in managing and delivering a comprehensive strength conditioning program for all student-athletes. This position is designed to foster a high-performance training environment where every athlete is treated with respect and inclusivity. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for developing training regimens that enhance athletic performance, ensuring that all programs align with the latest research and best practices in strength and conditioning. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including athletic trainers and coaching staff, to monitor and adjust training programs based on the individual needs of student-athletes. In addition to program management, the Assistant Coach will provide education and counseling to student-athletes on self-care topics, including sleep hygiene, recovery modalities, and nutrition. This position demands a commitment to maintaining a high level of personal integrity, characterized by honesty, transparency, and a strong work ethic. The Assistant Coach will also be expected to comply with all NCAA, Peach Belt, and Lander University rules and regulations, ensuring that the athletic department operates within the established guidelines. The work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours required during nights and weekends as necessary to accommodate the needs of the student-athletes and the athletic program.
