About the position

The Strong QA Lead (Python, Django) position is a long-term contract role based in Edison, NJ, requiring a hybrid work model. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of web-based applications through effective testing strategies and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, particularly in Python and Django, and will be responsible for implementing QA processes, maintaining test suites, and collaborating with a small team in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement QA processes leveraging new and existing tools.
• Read and write code in Python/Django and corresponding unit tests.
• Act as the 'gateway' for all features and fixes to ensure platform stability.
• Collaborate with a small team to influence the entire technology stack.
• Adapt to frequent changes in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Manage tasks independently and take ownership of product quality.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of previous QA experience, including scope and requirements definition, test planning, and process improvements in web-based applications testing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Selenium WebDriver and Python, including adding new tests and maintaining the test suite.
• Knowledge of API REST testing.
• Experience with Django applications.
• Experience in an agile working environment.
• Strong independent nature with the ability to manage tasks and take ownership of product quality.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
