About the position

The Facility Manager at The Berhe Group, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the operations of a residential management facility that serves foster and probation youth aged 13-18. This role involves ensuring compliance with various regulatory standards, managing facility staff, and maintaining a safe and effective environment for the residents. The Facility Manager will also play a key role in administrative leadership, staff training, and program development to meet the needs of the youth served.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the facility operates effectively and efficiently in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Supervise clients and cover shifts as needed, supporting Senior Child Care Workers during emergencies.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising facility staff.
  • Provide administrative leadership and support for program staff through meetings and training.
  • Oversee schedules to meet treatment needs and ensure consistent implementation.
  • Develop program schedules and activities in collaboration with the Administrator.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement activities and analyze agency statistics.
  • Consult with the treatment team on group and individual interventions.
  • Manage facility safety, security, and efficiency.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness for the facility.
  • Assist with regular reports and reviews of facility-related finances and contracts.
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and personnel records.
  • Respond promptly to requests and issues from clients and staff.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Manage contractors, community partners, and volunteers effectively.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and oversee grounds and inventory.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Clear a Live Scan background check or possess a Current Criminal Exemption.
  • Health Screen and Current TB test (within last year).
  • Knowledge of Community Care Licensing (CCL) and CARF regulations, DHCS, and CCR.
  • Current Certificates: CPR/First Aid, Food Handler, Water Safety, CSEC 101, and Mandated Reporter.
  • Provide a DMV driving Record Print out.
  • Ability to supervise seven (7) or more employees.
  • Working knowledge of Crisis Intervention strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Severe Emotionally Disturbed (SED) children and adolescents preferred.
