About the position

As a Structural Analysis Engineer at Volt, you will be responsible for a variety of structural analysis tasks that encompass static strength, damage tolerance, and durability assessments. Your role will involve developing, integrating, and documenting structural requirements to establish the system design effectively. You will coordinate with other engineering groups to define the product's environment, ensuring that all aspects of the design are considered and integrated into the final product. In this position, you will guide product design and verify structural integrity by employing analytical methods, finite element models, simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle. This will include developing the structural environment, characteristics, and performance metrics necessary for the product's success. You will also be tasked with developing test plans and configurations, supporting test execution, and analyzing and reporting test results to validate and verify that systems and components meet the established requirements and specifications. Additionally, you will define and document certification and test results to substantiate compliance for customers and regulatory agencies. Your role will also involve supporting in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing potential improvements. You will participate in internal and external design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and preliminary/critical design reviews (PDR/CDR) with customers. Furthermore, you will develop analytical processes and tools aimed at improving the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort. This position is a full-time contract opportunity lasting 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct static strength, damage tolerance, and durability analysis tasks.

Requirements

  • Need to obtain secret clearance post start.
  • Experience in certification development and documentation support.
  • Experience with certification processes.
