The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer (Associate - Senior) located in Hazelwood, MO. This is your chance to make a significant impact by contributing to a wide range of current and evolutionary aircraft and weapons systems across various divisions/business units, including: Air Dominance (Phantom Works, F-15, F/A-18, MQ-25A, T-7A), Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers (777X), and Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (Harpoon, JDAM, SDB, SLAM-ER).

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic structural analysis using well-defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance.
  • Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Works under general supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years' experience performing stress analysis using both hand calculations and finite element tools.
  • Ability to develop technical reports and present results.

Nice-to-haves

  • An active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months.
  • Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
  • 2+ years' experience working with aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis.
  • Boeing analysis tools (CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation) experience.
