About the position

The Structural Bridge Engineer will be responsible for designing and planning various bridge types, ensuring their strength and safety through structural analysis. This role involves preparing structural design documents and assisting with project budgets and schedules, contributing to the successful execution of bridge and transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Design/plan projects according to design specifications for a variety of bridge types (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder, and reinforced concrete slab structures)
• Ensure strength/safety of highway structures through structural analysis
• Prepare structural design/contract documents (drawings, specifications, and estimates)
• Assist with preparing project budgets/schedules
• Prepare bridge/transportation design calculations

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering
• 4+ years of experience
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
• Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete preferred
• Layout/design of bridges and highway structures expertise preferred
